Introduction

Hello! My name is Alexis. I grew up in a small coastal town in Oregon and I received both my Bachelors and Masters from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!). I come from a big multicultural family of four girls and two boys. My sisters and I were all adopted. Two of my sisters and I are from Cambodia and my other two sisters are from China. I have been fortunate to have traveled to 18 countries so far and hope to continue exploring more places. I am a lover of all things related to nature. You can usually find me absorbed in a book, experimenting with recipes in the kitchen, learning about other cultures, running, and challenging myself physically and mentally. Some fun facts about me is that I have been a pescatarian for 6 years, I once won a cranberry eating competition, and peanut butter is one of my favorite foods. I was in Japan in the Fall and I’m excited to return as a teacher! I love engaging in intellectually stimulating conversations and meeting new people. I look forward to learning about you!
