Introduction

Hi! My name’s Ian. Before I came to Japan, I was teaching at a few different schools in Chicago, including Columbia College Chicago and Northeastern Illinois University. I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and grew up in Belleville, Illinois. Don’t worry if you don’t know where that last place is; it’s pretty small.

I focus mostly on teaching writing and speaking. In addition to teaching, I am a performer and a writer. I love helping students develop the language to share stories from their past, as I feel this is one of the best ways we can connect with each other on a personal level.  I look forward to meeting you this semester!
