Introduction

I was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. Madison is a beautiful small city that is 2 hours north of Chicago, in the state of Wisconsin. I am Mexican-American, both of my parents are from Mexico. I grew up speaking Spanish and English, but now my English is much better than my Spanish. I have traveled to four different countries: Canada, Mexico, Taiwan, and Japan. I first came to Japan in 2018 to teach English as an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher). I lived in Chiba Prefecture in a small city called Yokaichiba (八日市場市). I enjoyed my time teaching and living in Japan, so I decided to go back to school and get my MA in TESOL because I wanted to continue teaching English to non-native English speakers. In my free time I like to play video games, watch movies and sports, weight lift, and play Dungeons & Dragons with my friends in Tokyo. I am very excited to be back in Japan and to teach at Tokyo International University. Let’s do our best and have a great school year!
