Introduction
I’m from Maryland, a small state in the U.S. right next to Washington, D.C. I live just 45 minutes from the White House by car! Maryland is known for blue crabs, the U.S. Naval Academy, and jousting, our official state sport. I’ve taught English around the world in the Philippines, Taiwan, Albania, Kosovo, and Japan. Japan is especially meaningful to me because it’s where my teaching journey began over ten years ago as an ALT in Tachikawa. I earned my MA in TESOL from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2018. I love traveling, and in my free time I enjoy basketball, hiking, chess, and Nintendo. I’m excited to be at Tokyo International University, and I’m looking forward to a great year together!
